Why?
Jesus Christ, the Son of God said,
‘Ye must be born again.’ John 3:7
The reason?
Jesus Christ said,
“Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3
This means you cannot be in Heaven without being born again. Jesus Christ said there are no exceptions. The birth of a child is a happy occasion, but sadly the world they are born into is ruined by sin. The only certainty in life is death itself. Shocking news stories remind us of the outcome of sin daily. Kindness is overshadowed by greed, safety spoiled by violence and innocence ruined by immorality. Sin is an offence against God whether it is being acted out on your favourite box set or committed on the street. The Bible says,
“All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 3:23
‘Born again’ describes the spiritual change we all need to cleanse us from sin. Without a spiritual ‘new birth’ you will die in your sins. You will be shut out of Heaven, face eternal death in hell and the lake of fire. But God loves you. God wants to rescue you from eternal death. He offers to you the gift of eternal life, - a new birth! The Bible says,
“The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23
How can I be born again?
Politics or religion cannot change your sinful nature. You cannot earn forgiveness of sins from God. No one is born a Christian. Jesus said “you must be born again.” God has the power to change you when you place your faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. He came into the world to save sinners. As a sinless man, that qualified Him to die for our sins on the cross. The Bible tells us
“the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me.” (Gal 2:20).
Everyone who repents from their sin and trusts in Jesus Christ receives eternal life. They are born again. The Spirit of God enters you and changes you. You will be 100% sure of Heaven. You need to be born again today.
“He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life..” John 5:24
